HARDWARE
Smart power conversion
The grid is evolving – traditional step-up transformers (SUTs) have reliably moved bulk power since the 1880s, but as systems become more digital, distributed and renewable, these passive devices can’t provide the real-time control modern grids require.
Vivetti’s Lupini™ SST technology
Lupini™ is a modular solid-state transformer that uses advanced semiconductors and embedded intelligence to replace conventional transformers and strengthen the grid. It simplifies DER integration and enhances stability through real-time voltage and frequency support. SSTs support bidirectional energy flow, stabilise the grid, and enable flexible connection of renewables, BESS and EV charging. SSTs are ideal when:
